Police say a resident in the 9800 block of Bruce Lane in Northglenn opened her front door to an abandoned infant in a car seat and a woman walking away.

The resident told police the infant appeared to have an oxygen tube running from its nose to a portable oxygen bottle.

The homeowner yelled at the woman walking away who then walked back to the door and took the infant. The unknown female stated she thought she was at her nanny's house and that the infant had a medical problem regarding caloric intake. The woman then quickly drove away with the infant.

The homeowner told police the infant may have some type of nasal congestion.

The unknown woman is described as a Hispanic female in her 20s, approximately 5"04", 170lbs with brown hair and wearing a grey sweater. The homeowner told police the woman appeared unkempt, and that she had some type of reddening of her chin.

The woman's vehicle is described as a 1990s gold colored 4-door sedan. The infant's car seat carrier is blue and grey.

Northglenn police are attempting to check on the well-being of both the unknown female and infant. They are asking that anyone with information regarding their identities call Detective Terrie Hoodak at 303.450.8893 x8858.
