Hundreds of United Launch Alliance and Lockheed Martin employees, retirees and their families will wrap gifts, load up their cars and set out to deliver food and toys to families in need around the Denver metro area Thursday.
Operation Santa Claus expects 240 carloads of gifts and food to be delivered to more than 270 families - including more than 820 children - throughout the metro area this year.
The tradition goes back to 1958 when a group of Martin Marietta employees raised money to help families.
