On Jan.18 about 7:37 p.m., a man entered a liquor store in the area of West Jewell Avenue and South Oak Street.

On Jan. 20 at about 8:35 p.m., a man entered a liquor store in the area of West Jewell Avenue and South Kipling Street. According to police, the suspect threatened the clerk with a handgun and stole the money from the register.

The suspect again left the area on foot but a possible related vehicle is a dark two toned Ford Explorer.

Detectives believe it is the same suspect who committed both robberies.

He is described as a white male between 5'8" and 6'2" tall. He has a medium build with sandy colored hair with a slight red tint, possibly blue or green eyes and a very short beard and mustache.

He wore a black or dark knit type cap and an older worn "pea coat" style jacket. He had a green scarf, black faded jeans, black shoes and black knit gloves.

Anyone with information is asked to contact detective Feik from the Lakewood Police Department at 303-987-7111.
