Valentine's Day: Love reaches across the aisle at the Colorado Legislature

KUSA - On this Valentine's Day, Democrats and Republicans at the state capitol showing a little love for their opponents. Well, sort of.

Here are a few hilarious quotes from the Colorado legislators:

"I love a lot about Republicans, mainly that they're in the minority," Representative Daniel Kagan, D-Cherry Hills Village, said.

"I love lots of things about Democrats. They are my friends. One of the great things about Democrats is they're always willing to give you a smile before they kill your bill," Rep. Mark Waller, R-Minority Leader, said.

"I can count on [Republicans] opposition, and they're very disciplined. They're very consistent," Rep. Rhonda Fields, D-Aurora, said.

"I love that they are very heartfelt. They are all about the emotional issues. Much like my wife, you have to love those things," Rep. Jared Wright, R-Mesa County, said.

"[I love] their ideas. I love working with them. This place wouldn't work as well if you didn't have two different opinions," Rep. Mark Farrandino, D-House Speaker, said.

"I could name multiple things that I love about Democrats, but the thing that I love the most... is the fact that they're people too," Rep. Frank McNulty, former speaker, said.
