DENVER - Beginning Saturday, the Children's Museum of Denver will be blowing the lid off learning with the popular rocket science exhibit, 3, 2, 1... Blast Off!
The experience, designed by the Children's Museum of Denver and presenting sponsor, United Launch Alliance, makes science and engineering engaging and accessible to young children.
Andy Aldrin will kick off the remodeled exhibit, in honor of his father, Buzz. He will share with kids what it was like to grow up with an astronaut father.
Some of the changes to the remodeled exhibit include an 884-square-foot space with a vaulted ceiling for vertical rocket launches; two models of ULA rockets - each more than 10 feet tall; Bernoulli fan-flyer tables; an enhanced rocket launcher; and looping video of ULA's real rocket launches.
3, 2, 1...Blast Off! is slated to be at the Children's Museum of Denver for at least one full year.
