DENVER - The Blair Caldwell African American Research Library is the fifth of its kind in the nation and it sits right in the middle of the five points neighborhood.

The library offers history, but it also offers inspiration for the next generation. Many of those inspirational stories inside the library are of people like Evie Dennis.

Among Dennis' many accomplishments, she was the first African American female superintendent of schools and the first African American to serve on the U.S. Olympic committee.
