KUSA - The tax deadline is quickly approaching and free filing help is available for low to moderate income families.
The Community College of Denver is partnering with The Piton Foundation to provide free tax preparation assistance.
Students and other volunteers are preparing and e-filing tax returns at Manual High School free of charge.
People making less than $50,000 a year, as a household, are eligible.
The volunteers will sort through all the details for you.
"For the community it means that the money they so desperately need to support their families," Diane Digiacomo, with the Piton Foundation, said.
we make sure they're able to keep all of their refund and second of all they don't have to pay any money to get their tax return filed,"
The free tax site at Manual High School is open on Thursdays from 5 until 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 until 2 p.m. through March 9.
