KUSA - Larimer and Weld Counties were on accident alert Sunday because of driving conditions that resulted in slide offs and accidents throughout the day.

"Be patient. Slow down. It's not that bad out, just don't be idiots," said Raini Mullins, whose car was stuck in the snow in Loveland on Sunday afternoon.

Earlier, on I-25, Elizabeth Laydon's red SUV sat parked down the hill after it slid off the interstate.

"Well, we were driving to DIA because I have a flight, and we hit a patch of black ice. We were going about 35 [mph] and we just started sliding down and, we just lost control and now we're stuck in a ditch," Laydon said.

She missed her flight.

A Colorado State Patrol dispatcher said despite the conditions, none of the accidents or slide offs were major.
