DENVER - Denver's going deep into the playbook to game plan against this snowstorm. The city is pulling out its residential plow plan for only the third time since it was created in the blizzards of 2006-2007.

City employees from several departments are driving side streets in four by four vehicles with plows attached.

As of Sunday night, the city says heavy plows will be about and about around Denver's main streets and most streets with stripes.

Denver's plows plan to go down all of the city's 14,000 residential blocks through Wednesday. They're going to make a single pass down the center of each street. The goal isn't to plow it down to the pavement, just to keep all of the snow from piling up before it freezes and ruts out.

The city says Denver's main streets are mostly clear and driveable and visibility and lane delineation have improved. The problem overnight is ice. So be aware.
