Denver-bound flight turns around after bird strike

KUSA - Passengers aboard Denver-bound United Express flight 6099 know just how crowded the skies can get.

The Embraer twin-jet was struck by a bird just after takeoff from Shreveport Thursday afternoon. The captain returned to the airport and landed without incident.

An inspection of the aircraft showed no damage. Passengers arrived at DIA around 8 p.m.
