KUSA-Governor Hickenlooper met with family members of shooting victim Claire Davis.
On Friday afternoon, the Governor spent some time at Littleton Adventist Hospital with Davis' parents.
"I want all the kids to be keeping her in their thoughts and prayers. Her family, her parents are two of the most wonderful people. Her mother is a strong advocate for gun control but also sees that mental illness is a crucial part of the equation here," Hickenlooper said.
He stopped by the hospital again Sunday morning, but did not see Claire Davis, who remains in critical condition. She was shot on Friday at Arapahoe High School.
"People are resilient and they push back they don't accept it," said Hickenlooper. "If nothing else it really does teach you to love your family and love your neighbors, in a funny way it pulls people together in a very powerful way."
