Deputies arrested the guide for jumping in and swimming to a 13 year-old girl who had fallen out of her boat and was missing for about 30 minutes.
Ryan Snodgrass with the Arkansas Valley Adventures Rafting Company has been charged with obstructing government operations.
The Clear Creek County Sheriff says Snodgrass jeopardized the rescue by jumping into the water after he was told not to.
Despite the arrest, Snodgrass will not likely lose his job. His boss says Snodgrass did the right thing by not waiting for the county's search and rescue team to assemble ropes and rafts.
