This new program hopes to let adults know about services available across Colorado to help them complete higher education degrees or certificates.

The campaign also emphasizes the importance of post-secondary degrees for Colorado's economic future.

"I know first-hand the profound impact a college education can have on your life. My ability to afford college and a law degree opened many doors of opportunity for me and ultimately helped me to become governor. I want all Colorado children to have the same opportunity for success," Ritter said in a news release.

Experts say a college degree increases personal income and economic strength, as well as levels of workforce participation, health, productivity and tax dollars to Colorado.

A study by CEOs found that, for the Denver area alone, increasing four-year degrees by 1 percent has the potential to add $1.8 billion to the city's economy. Statewide, that number is estimated to be several billions of dollars.
