DENVER - Facing an expected $1 billion shortfall in next year's budget, Gov. Bill Ritter is proposing that education spending be cut by $260 million and that the state bring in another $132 million by charging sales tax on candy and soda as well as online sales.

9NEWS newscast are recorded and sold to viewers by Bayaud Industries, a not-for-profit company.
The copies are only available for a few months following the broadcast and are offered for personal, non-commercial use only.
If you would like to order a copy of a newscast, call 303-830-6885 x218. Provide the date and time of the newscast you want. E.g. 9NEWS at 10 on August 20th. Bayaud Industries charges a fee for this service.
Note: This service is only available for locally-produced 9NEWS broadcasts. Copies of NBC shows, or other syndicated programming, should be sought from the producers of those shows. For NBC programming, visit the NBC website.
Bayaud Industries raises funds to offer job-readiness training and employment opportunities to individuals affected by disabilities.
