Described as the most powerful smartphone on the market, the LG Optimus G has a 4.7 inch IPS screen that any smartphone competitor would envy.

A technology LG calls "Zerogap" puts the display even closer to the glass of the device, which gives it a  clear, sharp image and reduces reflections on screen.

Under the hood, the Optimus G sports a fast Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 CPU, with four cores and running at 1.5GHz and 2GB of system RAM. Learn more at

3D Photo Printer

Some new 3D printing technology just released in Japan creates fully realized mini-replica action figures of your family members. The figures are isolated from family photographs. They come in a variety of sizes, up to eight inches tall.

To make it work, you have to stand still for about 15 minutes as a manually operated scanner records your full-body image from every angle. What is recorded is then tweaked before the 3D color print is made. Pricey right now at $255.

This technology should be headed towards the U.S. within the next year.
