Legos go a long way on a cold day

"The Lego factory was perfect," said Patrick.

It's the Lego Showcase, where Lego experts like 7-year-old Conner who has been building Lego's since an early age.

Conner and his father can take part in the Lego Challenge as well building the tallest tower, or the most sturdy Lego bridge.

Best of all, Laquelle Keller with Lego says it's all free.

"Kids being able to exercise their creativity and really kind of materialize what their passions are," said Keller.

Of course the point here is to build and that includes race cars that go screaming down a race track but having said that even skilled Lego engineers like Conner have limited time.

"Sometimes I find pieces stuck together and I pull them out I just break them apart and see if I can use them," said Conner.

The Lego Showcase is in the River Run Village next to the small ice rink and is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. until Jan. 7.
