KUSA- Firefighters are used to rescuing people from burning homes, but on Saturday they helped free a donkey entangled in a feeder.
Keith Schneider, a district chief with the West Metro Fire Department says two Good Samaritans spotted the donkey trapped in the feeder on a property on Eldridge Street around 11:30 a.m. They called the fire department for help. Firefighters worked to free the animal, but she eventually freed herself by kicking and struggling.
It's not clear how the donkey get into the feeder, but firefighters say she was likely trying to get the last scrap of food when she became trapped.
She was stuck for several hours, but appears to be OK.
