Reports say Huma A. Mian is married to suspect Faisal Shahzad, who was arrested Monday night after allegedly driving an SUV that was rigged as a bomb into Times Square, but 9NEWS has not been able to confirm their relationship.

Mian, 28, attended CU Boulder from 2000 to 2004, according to a university spokesman.

She graduated May 7, 2004 with a business accounting degree.

Public records show she lived for a time in Hallett Hall on the Boulder campus and also on Folsom Street in Boulder.

A source, who asked to not be named because he was not able to publically talk about details in the case, told 9Wants to Know that Mian moved to Connecticut after graduating. The source said she currently is in Pakistan.

A public record shows Mian also has lived in Aurora.

9NEWS spoke to a family friend of Mian who lives in Aurora.

She did not want to talk on camera, but she told us she has known Mian and her parents for two decades.

She says she is furious about the allegations against Shahzad, and told 9NEWS, "One bad Muslim spoils it for all of the others."

The family friend is Muslim. She told 9NEWS Mian is an "honorable person."

Mian is not under investigation in the alleged terror plot.

New York Police and FBI agents caught Shahzad at Kennedy Airport Monday night as he was attempting to leave the country on a flight headed for Dubai, according to U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder.
