The annual PrideFest parade marched down Colfax Avenue to Civic Center Park Sunday morning. Organizers say it was the largest parade ever for the event.
The event went on all day and more than 275,000 were expected to join the events at Civic Center. It supports the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.
This year, it expanded to feature new stages for Latino and country music.
People say it's indicative of the movement in Colorado.
"I just love the diversity. I love the fact that we live in a society that not only lets this happen, but encourages it to happen," Ricka Mead, a parade attendee, said.
This is the 35th year for PrideFest.
Organizers say Denver has the sixth largest event in the country.
