"We certainly will fight for the day that we can overturn Roe vs. Wade because we want every life to be sacred," Daly said in his radio show. "But in the meantime, how do we make sure that what's happened in these clinics doesn't happen again and how can we sit down with people who may disagree with us. But we can eliminate 10,000, 20,000, 300,000 of the 1.2 million babies lost every year."

Daly did not specify which pro-choice organizations or individuals he wished to speak with. He also did not specify how he would seek to lessen the number of abortions. His goal appears to be lessening the number of abortion performed while legal battles over the law continue.

"We're not going to get to the end game quickly. I think that's obvious after 40 years, so what do we do right now to save the babies this year that will be lost if we don't sit down and decide how we're going to make it rare," said Daly.

Monica McCafferty, a spokesperson for Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains says her organization has not been contacted by Focus on the Family, but they'd welcome the dialogue.

"Planned Parenthood welcomes the opportunity to work with anyone who wants to increase access to affordable birth control for women all over, as well as ensure teens have information they need to be healthy and safe," says McCafferty. "At the same time, our organizations see differently on abortion and Planned Parenthood always wants to ensure that decision is a woman's."
