Tiffany Hartley lives in La Salle, Colo. with her parents.

She was in Washington, D.C. on Thursday trying to bring attention to her husband's unsolved murder.

Last September, Tiffany and David Hartley were jet skiing on the Mexican side of Falcon Lake when she says they were ambushed. David Hartley was shot in the head and his body has never been found.

"He was killed in Mexico, but that doesn't mean anything. He's an American citizen and our American government should be standing up and helping us find him and helping him bring prosecution to the people who murdered him," Tiffany Hartley said during a news conference in Washington, D.C.

Just last month, a sheriff in south Texas produced a photograph showing two men he believes matches Tiffany Hartley's description of her attackers. Investigators say the attackers were likely part of the Zetas drug cartel.
