Houston station KHOU is reporting that Titans owner Bud Adams offered the former University of Tennessee star a contract "for life" to join the team.

Manning was in Nashville Wednesday to meet with Titans head coach Mike Munchak and other team personnel.

Adams says Tennessee fans have a lot of respect for Manning and it would be a perfect landing place for the future Hall of Famer.

Manning has also visited the Denver Broncos, Arizona Cardinals and Miami Dolphins.

The Indianapolis Colts released their long-time quarterback last week after Manning sat out all last season because of a neck injury.
