KUSA - Former KHOW radio show host Peter Boyles - who was fired from his station following a "heated physical exchange" with his producer - has been hired as the new morning host on KNUS starting on Monday.

KHOW fired Boyles June 3 after his coworkers observed red marks on producer Greg Hollenback's neck within minutes of the argument that occurred May 23. The incident happened during the show's morning broadcast of the Peter Boyles Show.

His KNUS show will air from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. on 710 AM.

Boyles has worked in talk radio in Denver for 30 years at both KOA and KHOW. KNUS is owned by Salem Communications Corporation, which calls itself a provider of Christian and conservative content.

Boyles will be replacing the Kelly and Company morning show, hosted by Steve Kelley, who will be moved to a yet to be determined time slot.
