Airman killed in LoDo; police investigate

DENVER - A shooting at 15th and Market streets just before 2 a.m. killed one airman and sent people running from area bars.

Police closed 15th and 16th streets from Larimer Street to Market Street while they investigated.

The victim, later identified as 19-year-old Shaquille Hargrove of North Carolina, was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead. Buckley Air Force Base confirms the man killed was an airman and say another one was injured during the incident.

Witnesses say they heard at least six gunshots.

Denver Police said Saturday morning there was no suspect information.
