Tips from a citizen led officers to 3927 Platte Drive in Fort Collins, a home owned by Michael Cregg Porter.
A search of the site led to investigations of four other properties in Fort Collins and Loveland owned by Porter and his business partner Adam Torrey Schweibish of Windsor.
The investigation and seizures, which involved cooperation from the Larimer County Sheriff's office, Larimer County Drug Task Force and the DEA resulted in the removal of growing equipment, 1,982 marijuana plants and over 200 pounds of marijuana from three of the properties, considered "grow houses."
The street value of the seized drugs is conservatively estimated at $1.1 million.
Another location, 3274 West County Road 72 in Fort Collins, yielded 28 guns, some loaded and three vehicles owned by Porter.
Porter has been transported to the Larimer County Detention Center under charges including marijuana cultivation, possession with intent to distribute and Special Offender charges involving weapons possession and sale of illegal drugs being the sole source of income.
Schweibish was booked on charges of cultivation, possession and possession with intent to distribute.
