Negotiations entered a crucial stage this week with the government and opposition. They have been addressing issues over December's disputed presidential elections.

More than 1,000 people have died in rioting, police raids and fighting since the election.

Natalie Austin is a Peace Corps member from Colorado who has been working in Kenya for a little over a year. She came home in December and the ongoing violence has forced the corps to stop letting workers back in the country.

Austin, who was helping educate deaf children about AIDS, was forced to leave her home and everything she had behind.
