After getting an invitation, Weld County District Attorney and Republican candidate for U.S. Senator Ken Buck attended Democrat Andrew Romanoff's birthday party on Thursday.

Buck is running against Romanoff's former primary rival, Sen. Michael Bennet.

When Buck showed up to the party, he presented Romanoff with an official Buck for Colorado bumper sticker.

Romanoff held a party for his 44th birthday to try and pay down some of his debt from the primary campaign. He asked supporters to pay $44, $144 or $1,044.
