Meet the newest addition of the Soper Family.
"She doesn't have a name yet," says mother, Barbie Soper, "we're thinking either Ciera or Kylie." Name or not, "she's our little miracle," says the proud mom.
This 'little miracle' is less than 24 hours old. She was born on a day that some believe is lucky. "She came on 10/10/10," explains Soper, "we couldn't believe it would actually happen."
As the proud parents of three kids, Barbie and her husband, Chad are shocked by their new baby girl's birthday.
"Chloe is lucky number 8, Cameron is lucky number 9 and she is our lucky number 10," says Soper.
Their 2-year-old daughter Chloe was born on Aug. 8, 2008.
"When we went in, they said her due date was 8/8/08 and I was like, 'cool! It's the opening day of the Olympics. Maybe it will actually happen!' And then it did," Soper explains.
Then on Sept. 9, 2009, Barbie and Chad had their son, Cameron.
"He was actually due on September. 20th, so he was early," says Soper.
Barbie's mother, Chari Denmick remembers hearing the news.
"When she got pregnant with Cameron and had him on 9/9/09 it just totally blew us away," says Denmick.
But despite the two coincidental birthdays, nobody believed the new bundle of joy would arrive when she did. She came a whole month early. Her due date wasn't until Nov. 4.
"We had to go in early," explains Denmick, "this wasn't planned, the whole 10/10/10. She had to go in early because she developed blood clots in both of her legs."
For the sake of Barbie's health, she was induced at just 36 weeks.
"It happened on 10/10/10, without having a choice," says Soper.
Whether 10/10/10 was really a lucky day or not, the Soper family sure think so.
"She's our own little miracle," says Soper.
18 babies were born at Spectrum Health Hospital in Grand Rapids on 10/10/10.
