Many places have seen temperatures in the 70s, some even touching 80. There have been cold spells and a bit of snow, but nowhere near as much as normal, and in many areas, it is melting quickly.

Some people's livelihoods are being threatened by the record temperatures.

Winterfest in Tulsa, Okla. is slowly melting away. For three days in a row, the annual holiday party has been canceled.

"Ideally, we would like it to be mid 50s for the ice to be frozen and to be maintained, but we're just going to take it a day at a time," Brian Smith, special event coordinator for BLK Center in Tulsa said.
