Consumer and environmental groups have been pressuring the manufacturing giant to remove two possibly cancerous chemicals from their baby shampoo products.
One of the chemicals is a preservative that releases formaldehyde during the manufacturing process, but according to Johnson and Johnson, both compounds are safe and legal.
However, outside experts say they chemicals might irritate an infant's skin and lead to other health risks.
Johnson and Johnson has already removed the chemicals from products sold in the United Kingdom and other countries.
