Nitro Circus is a blend of X Games and Jackass, and now, after years of successful web videos and a tv series, the Nitro Circus crew is getting their own big-screen 3D movie.

We talked to stunt performers Travis Pastrana and Jolene Van Vugt on 9NEWS 8 a.m. During the course of the film, these daredevils pilot motorcycles, rally cars, parachutes, mountain bikes, monster trucks and more.

In what is perhaps the film's most extreme stunt, the Nitro Circus team builds a ramp on the roof of a residential high-rise and, without the benefit of protection, jump tricycles across the air to the building's twin many yards away. Pastrana points out the sequence was shot in Panama City, where regulations governing these types of dangerous stunts are much looser than anything found in the U.S.

Pastrana says the movie allowed them the flexibility of using super-slow-motion replay, multiple camera angles, and 3D that they were never able to do on the web or on tv.
