Small, medium and large companies will compete against each other to collect the most nonperishable food from employees. It's a great way to engage your employees in community service.
There are three categories in this competition:
- Small companies of 99 employees or less
- Medium companies of 100-999 employees
- Large companies of 1000 employees or more
Companies can collect cash and non-perishable food anytime now through Oct. 24. Each dollar collected will equal a pound of food in the competition. Checks should be made out to 9Cares Colorado Shares.
Then, on Oct. 24, companies can bring their donations to the Food Bank of the Rockies 10700 E. 45th Avenue, Denver CO 80239. Each company's donation will be weighed and counted at this time.
At the end of the challenge, the businesses that donate the most in each category will be honored during the live coverage of the drive, on 9NEWS.com and in a special commercial following the drive. The best part is that there are no losers, since all of the food will go to food banks that serve the needy.
Toys and clothing are not included in the corporate challenge.
Money collected will be used to purchase food later in the year when the need is great.
If your company is interested in joining the challenge please email 9CCS@9news.com with contact information, company name, and number of employees to get registered.
