FBI technicians preserve evidence and use it in criminal cases through different methods. They can use powder, ink and super glue to collect and study finger prints. Fumes from the glue makes fingerprints easier to see and collect.
"What the super glue fuming does is it makes the prints which are very delicate, less delicate so that the item can be handled more frequently and more often and less likely to damage the prints that are on that" FBI Special Agent Dan Leyman said.
As opposed to DNA tests, fingerprints analysis happens much faster and the results can be done in minutes.
