Snow fell on Denver and the Front Range Thursday night and into early Friday morning. Melted snow and cold temperatures caused icy roads.

The snow is forecast to end by mid-morning Friday with skies becoming party cloudy. Still very cold temperatures expected with highs in the upper 30s to near 40 degrees.

For mountain areas west of Vail Pass and north of Aspen a WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY has been extended to 9 a.m. Friday for 4 to 8 inches of snow.

For the south side of Monument Hill in El Paso County a WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY has expired

9CARES Colorado Shares will be partly cloudy and dry Saturday morning with temperatures in the 20s early in the morning, but jumping up to the low 50s by afternoon.

Sunday evening's Bronco game (on 9NEWS!) will be mild and pleasant with a kickoff temperature around 50 degrees.
