KUSA - Cirque du Soleil is coming back to Denver with its latest production "Amaluna."
"Amaluna" takes the audience to a mysterious island ruled by goddesses and guided by the cycles of the moon.
"Their queen, Prospera, directs her daughter's coming-of-age ceremony in a rite that honors femininity, renewal, rebirth and balance which marks the passing of these insights and values from one generation to the next," the production said on its website.
Jamie Reilly, the company manager of the show, is very proud of the storyline and groundbreaking roles.
"It's the first show where we have a 70-percent female cast," Reilly said.
Amaluna comes to the Pepsi Center grounds starting July 18. Tickets go on sale Friday.
