BUFFALO, NY - A former New York State trooper will not see any jail time following his sentence Wednesday to a single count of promoting prostitution.
Erie County Court Judge Kenneth Case ordered 42-year-old Titus Z. Taggart to serve three years on probation and perform 300 hours of community service.
Taggart pleaded guilty to the charge in December following a months-long investigation into allegations that he organized exotic dance parties that included the services of prostitutes.
The former 18-year-veteran of the force could have faced up to a year behind bars.
