DENVER- Where Kenneth Faried lacks confidence in his injured ankle - although he joked about the training staff taping it up nicely for Friday's practice - he makes up for it in the confidence he has in his teammates. He will return to the lineup when he's fully ready.

"I believe my teammates can win these first couple of games [in their series against Golden State], I don't have to worry too much," Faried said. "If they need me then they need me then I'm going to have to come back early. I want to be 100% because we plan on taking a far push in these playoffs."

The second year forward was adamant about returning in time for the Nuggets series against Golden State but it's not likely that he will be ready for Game 1 Saturday.

Denver finished off Portland after Faried sprained his ankle in the first quarter. They would also go on to beat Milwaukee on the road, in dramatic fashion after Ty Lawson hit a step back jumper with 9 second remaining, and crush Phoenix at home to close out the regular season.

They don't seem like they missed a beat. It seems like they are still out there ready to play," Faried continued. "So it seems like they didn't miss a beat, that's why I'm not in too much of a rush to get back."

Faried is averaging 11.5 points and a team best 9.2 rebounds per game. That void, the likes of Javale McGee and Kosta Koufos will have to make up for these statistics, will not be there long though as he is pushing to return.

"I want to get back on the court so I'm going to push myself to go harder and harder each day," said Faried.
