STERLING, Colo. (AP) - Another person has pleaded guilty following a gas station shootout near Sterling that injured three people, leaving one partially paralyzed, last August.
The Sterling Journal-Advocate reports Monica Baray pleaded guilty Thursday to conspiring to commit aggravated robbery and conspiring to commit first degree assault. She is to be sentenced June 27.
Investigators say a group allegedly led by Robert Joseph Bernal had gone to the gas station planning to rob and possibly assault Eric Morales. They say Bernal suspected that Morales had stolen money from Bernal's sister.
Bernal has pleaded guilty to attempted first-degree murder.
The Journal-Advocate reports three others also have accepted plea deals.
