KUSA - Prosecutors say it's one of the worst child abuse cases they've seen.
Michael Harris was killed two months before what would have been his
second birthday. Donald Dean Scarlett was convicted of killing Harris
and is serving a 42 year prison term.
sentencing the judge in the case, Judge Chris Melonakis, said Adams
County Human Services "are directly responsible for the death of the
child." He also called for a grand jury investigation.
Harris' case was featured in 9WantsToKnow series "Failed to Death" in 2012.
