KUSA - The 9NEWS political experts broke down the recently-ended legislative session, focusing on Governor John Hickenlooper's role in moderating Democrats' aims. Two guest panels also discussed the framework for legal marijuana and the impact of illegal immigration in Colorado.

9NEWS political reporter Brandon Rittiman joined 9NEWS political experts Ryan Frazier and James Mejia to discuss the session of the Colorado legislature with Balance of Power moderator Kyle Clark.

Longtime anti-illegal immigration advocate Tom Tancredo faced off with State Representative Crisanta Duran, a Democrat from Denver, over efforts to mainstream people here illegally with drivers' licenses and in-state college tuition rates.

A discussion on newly-minted rules for legal marijuana in Colorado included marijuana activist Mason Tvert and Smart Colorado's Diane Carlson. They focused on the role of the marijuana industry in promoting a November ballot initiative to set up the taxing structure that would funnel pot taxes to schools.

Mejia, Frazier and Clark also shared 'Headlines You Didn't See,' stories that have gotten scant media attention.

The broadcast aired Sunday at 9:30 p.m. on KTVD My 20.
