DOUGLAS COUNTY - Police are trying to identify who was responsible for throwing rocks at more than 20 house and car windows Friday in an area spanning 20 different blocks.
Neighbors were awakened at midnight Friday by the sound of shattering glass and immediately called the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies arrived in the area to find over 20 car and house windows had been broken with rocks in an area spanning 20 different blocks between Broadway and University Boulevard in the area south of C-470. The call came in the area of Redhaven Way in Highlands Ranch.
Video surveillance shows a gray or silver Dodge Durango pulling up in front of a residence with its headlights on. The driver is shown handing the passenger a rock and throwing one of his own through a front porch window.
The driver was wearing a black or gray t-shirt, backwards black baseball hat and black shorts. The passenger was wearing an orange or red t-shirt with black shorts. Both appeared to be white males, possibly in their teens.
