DENVER - Denver Police are looking for a 20-year-old man in connection to an attack against an openly-gay man last week.

Police have issued an arrest warrant for Tilo Sandoval. He is suspected of being involved in what police are calling a violent anti-gay assault against Jared Olson.

Olson was leaving Sam's Hookah bar when he was allegedly assaulted in the parking lot. Olson says when he and his group of friends were walking out to their car, a man with a group of people started yelling homosexual slurs at them.

According to Olson, the man followed him and his friends to the car and assaulted him. Olson claims he was targeted because of his sexual orientation.

Olson is recovering from fractures in his face and other injuries. He says he will need reconstructive surgery.

Sandoval is 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs roughly 145 pounds. He has several prominent tattoos on his arms. Sandoval's listed address is in the 2700 block of West Yale, but police believe he is staying with friends and associates.

If you know the whereabouts of Sandoval, please contact Crimestoppers at 720-913-7867.
