KUSA - The Colorado Rockies on Tuesday announced their 2014 schedule, which begins March 31 in Miami and ends Sept. 28 at the Dodgers.
In between the Rockies go against the standard National League matchups, and in 2014 Colorado's interleague schedule will be against the American League Central. That will start right away as the Chicago White Sox will play at Coors Field in the opening homestand. The Rockies, who dealt with snow issues in April this season, will have 12 home games in April.
After four games in Miami to open the season, the Rockies will have their home opener April 4 against Arizona for three games, then three games against the White Sox (April 7-9).
Other homestands of note include the Chicago Cubs on Aug. 5-7, the Dodgers for the Fourth of July fireworks shows July 3-4 and the Pirates July 25-27.
The Rockies will end the home season with a six-game stand against the NL West teams with the Dodgers for three games (Sept. 15-17) and then four against the Arizona Diamondbacks (Sept. 18-21).
Colorado ends the season on the West Coast with three=game series at San Diego (Sept. 22-24) then the Dodgers (Sept. 26-28).
