National Guard officials say most of the 1,750 people and 300 pets rescued as of Saturday night have been in Boulder and Larimer counties.

The airlifts could not resume Sunday because of the weather conditions, but rescues completed on the ground when possible.

Heavy rain pounded many areas already flooded throughout most of Sunday.

Between a half-inch and 2 inches are expected to fall in the area, creating the risk of flash flooding and mud slides.

BOULDER COUNTY

Approximately 472 people are unaccounted for in Boulder County after the floods, according to the Office of Emergency Management.

EVERGREEN

Downtown Evergreen is open, but numerous Evergreen schools will be closed on Monday.

FORT MORGAN

City officials say Sunday's first light revealed extensive flooding in the city's signature Riverside Park but the rest of the city and most private property appeared to be spared.

Residents living in the Linn Grove area, east of 8th street (WC 60 1/2) and South past E 24th St and Dilmont Ave were told to evacuate around 4 p.m. Sunday. Cedar Ave E to WCR 47.5 and E WCR 51 are also included.

LARIMER COUNTY

LOVELAND

A slow-moving band of rain showers that could drop an additional 2 to 3 inches in parts of Northern Colorado will make flood recovery work a soggy process on Monday as City crews work to keep roads open, mark hazards, assess flooded areas and prepare to serve flood victims.

WELD COUNTY

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment has placed Left Hand Water District on a boil water advisory. No contamination has been detected, but the advisory has been put in place as a precaution to protect the public from any possible breach of the drinking water system.
