KUSA - The Boston Red Sox fan who caught the Todd Helton home-run ball Wednesday night did a trade and gave the ball to the Colorado first baseman.
Dylan Casey returned the ball to the team and received a Helton signed ball, bat and jersey, Rockies vice president of communications Jay Alves confirmed Thursday. Casey was wearing a Red Sox-themed T-shirt.
The Baseball Hall of Fame requested Helton's bat, and Alves said Helton will give it to their curators at the end of the season - after he gets a few more hits out of it.
In the second inning Wednesday, Helton sent a 1-1 pitch into section 108 over the right-field scoreboard, his 369th career home run.
