BOULDER - Two and a half weeks ago, Crest View Elementary School was flooded by Four Mile Creek when devastating flood waters swept through Boulder.

On Monday, Crest View Elementary School welcomed students back to class.

Nearly all the classrooms suffered flood damage. Parents pitched in to help get classrooms back in order, after contractors repaired the damage.

Principal Ned Levine wrote a thank you note to the school and volunteers last week:

In it, Levine mentions that "the building has never been cleaner, as all affected rooms were disassembled down to the bare walls, cleaned and passed a number of air quality tests to be released."

Levine goes on to mention "restoration will continue after school hours until completed, so all after-school classes and usage have been cancelled through January with the exception of the Y program."
