KUSA - Having solidified his name as a film and TV producer, bestselling author, playwright, philanthropist and Christian motivator, mega-talent T. D. Jakes soon will be adding another credit to his resume - talk show host.

In his numerous television appearances over the years Jakes has inspired viewers and encouraged them to live with purpose. Jakes says we may not be perfect people living in perfect situations, but we all have the ability to ignite our passions and find our true purpose at any age. His message from the pulpit and the small screen has focused on topics like economic empowerment, improving relationships, losing weight, individual pain and victimization, and getting over past abuse. He is also recognized as a forceful advocate of community healing and investment. And over the years, Bishop T.D. Jakes has counseled three U.S. presidents, including President Barack Obama and former Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush.

Now in addition to all of this, T. D. Jakes will soon host a weekly talk show - "T. D. Jakes Presents Mind, Body & Soul" - that will feature various celebrity guests including LL Cool J, Angie Stone and Steve Harvey on an hour-long, weekly chatfest that combines an entertaining mix of celebrity interviews, impassioned discussion and expert advice (while also shining a spotlight on ordinary people with extraordinary stories.)

Topics for discussion will range from empowerment, letting go of life's disappointments, the power of love, the impact media images have on our culture, and violence in our communities to living without limit, body image, healthy living and more. The series premieres Sunday on BET 12 p.m. ET/PT.

Thomas Dexter "T.D." Jakes has received numerous honors, including multiple honorary degrees and doctorates. He has also received Grammy and Dove Award nominations for the Gospel album "Live at The Potter's House." Jakes-produced movies include Not Easily Broken, Jumping the Broom, Sparkle, and Winnie. (which catapulted him into popularity in 1993), "The Great Investment: Faith, Family and Finance," "Maximize the Moment."
