Volunteers needed for Boulder flood recovery projects

BOULDER - The City of Boulder Parks and Recreation Department has organized four volunteer projects for this Friday and Saturday and Sunday.

RECENT COLORADO FLOODING STORIES

The projects are to help with the cleanup and restoration of city parks and the Boulder Creek Path. A total of 180 volunteers are needed for this weekend's projects.

Friday, Oct. 18
9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m.
Where: Volunteers should meet at the shelter at Eben G. Fine Park, located at 101 Arapahoe Ave.
Minimum age: 12 years old.
Details: The AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps will be assisting with these restoration projects, which include the Boulder Creek Path.
Parking is not available at Eben G. Fine Park; please choose other transportation options.

Saturday, Oct. 19 
9 a.m. to noon
Where: There will be two meeting locations: group one will meet at the shelter at Eben G. Fine Park, located at 101 Arapahoe Ave.; group two will meet at the Main Boulder Public Library, located at 1001 Arapahoe Ave.
Minimum age: 10 years old.
Details: Parking is not available at Eben G. Fine Park; please choose other transportation options.
