KUSA - The Colorado State Patrol arrested a 61-year-old Fort Lupton man in connection to an August crash that killed a Weld County tow operator and injured a trooper.

Dana Beales was booked into the Weld County jail Wednesday and is facing vehicular homicide charges among others.

Troopers say Beales was travelling southbound on Highway 85 Aug. 24 when his Ford F-250 crashed into a CSP cruiser that was blocking traffic for tow operator Martin Braden of Aurora.

The Ford then struck Braden, who died at the scene. Trooper Scott Rendfrey had moderate injuries as a result of the crash.
