ANCHORAGE, AK (NBC)- On this halloween, it appears the great pumpkin is smiling down on us all.
Earlier this week photographer John Gomes was taking some scenic shots near Elmendorf Air Force Base in Anchorage, Alaska, when he noticed an Air Force C-17 about to cross the moon.
He snapped a picture, and it appears to show a Jack-o-lantern, but experts say it's all in our heads.
The psychological phenomenon that causes our minds to create a human face out of a random pattern is called pareiodolia.
